DR NICHOLAS HII
Dr Nicholas Hii is our principal dentist and founded High Dental in 2014. His goal is to serve the community by delivering high quality and patient-centred care. He strives to master and utilise the latest technology modern dentistry has to offer, to enhance the treatment he provides for all his patients.
Dr Nicholas completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Queen Mary University of London and graduated with Honours at the Royal London Hospital in 2006. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry from King’s College London and attended Goethe University’s Master in Oral Implantology. He has had extensive work experience at dental practices across the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Australia.
Although he enjoys all aspects of dentistry, Dr Nicholas has a special interest in implant dentistry, placing over 300 implants per year. With his extensive training and experience, he is now an instructor for the Megagen Implantology Fellowship where he oversees young dentists beginning their journey in dental implantology.
Outside of work, Dr Nicholas is currently working on his thesis at Goethe University, Frankfurt, in the use of Er and Nd YAG lasers for the treatment of peri-implantitis.
Dr Chen-Yu Liu
Dr Chen-Yu Liu graduated with a Bachelor of Biomedicine from the University of Melbourne and Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Western Australia. Aside from English, Dr Chen is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
Since graduating, Dr Chen has worked in several busy dental clinics practising in all areas of dentistry, with a particular passion for high-end cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. He has extensive experience in orthodontic treatment and is a qualified provider for both clear aligners (Invisalign) and traditional braces.
Dr Chen enjoys developing a good relationship with all his patients as he wishes for them to feel at ease with the dentist. In his free time, he enjoys playing table tennis and has previously competed in tournaments.
DR WILL CHU
Dr Will Chu qualified from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry. After graduating, he had practised widely in rural Queensland before returning to his home state of Victoria. He has gained extensive knowledge and experience working in both private and public dental health systems.
Dr Will is confident in all areas of general dentistry with a particular interest in restorative dentistry. He focuses on creating a compassionate and caring environment, and looks forward to providing excellent dental care to patients and families in the community. He is also fluent in Mandarin.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Will enjoys spending time with family, especially with his newborn son.
Dr Lilian Phu
Dr Lilian Phu graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours) and Doctor of Dental Surgery. Her passion for helping people achieve their dental and oral health goals is reflected by the quality, care and attention she gives to each patient she encounters. Additionally, her friendly and bubbly nature will be sure to bring a smile on anyone’s face.
Before embarking on dentistry, Lilian conducted extensive research on Hepatitis C. During her free time, she enjoys painting and digital drawing.
Dr Su Min Lee
Dr Su Min Lee graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours) and Doctor of Dental Surgery. She practises all aspects of general dentistry and strives to deliver quality dental treatment to all patients with a patient centred approach. She aims to provide positive dental experiences for patients, ensuring that they feel at ease and comfortable on the chair. She is fluent in English and Mandarin. During her free time, Su enjoys spending time with her family.
Dr Paul Keong
Dr Paul Keong completed a Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Western Australia. He spent several years in private practice in Western Australia before moving to Melbourne.Â
Dr Paul practises all aspects of dentistry with interests in restorative dentistry, dental implants and Invisalign. He is highly enthusiastic about continuing education, having completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implants through the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology. He is currently undertaking a Masters of Orofacial Pain through the University of Sydney, and a Masters of Aesthetic Dentistry through King’s College London. Paul’s friendly demeanour makes him an approachable clinician and he strives to maintain a good relationship with everyone he meets. He also regularly participates in dental volunteering trips to Cambodia and Vietnam.Â
A concert pianist in a past life, Dr Paul continues to play music during his spare time. He also enjoys playing tennis, volleyball and exploring new places to eat.
MAYANK PATEL
Mayank Patel obtained a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Oral Health at Otago University in Dunedin and followed that with a Post Graduate Diploma in Advance Dental Therapy. He worked in New Zealand for four years in a mixture of public and private practices before permanently moving to Melbourne.
Mayank strives to provide high standard treatment with a long-term approach in mind. He has received specialised training in oral hygiene, gum therapy, simple restorative and paediatric dentistry. He enjoys taking care of both children and adults, and likes to spend time getting to know each and every one of them to ensure that they have a pleasant experience.
In his spare time, Mayank enjoys keeping fit and investing in the latest NFTs.
CHLOE DANG
Chloe Dang is our practice manager and has been with High Dental since its inception. She has over 15 years’ dental experience and has extended her skillset across multiple roles including dental assistant, sterilisation nurse, receptionist, and now practice manager. Her vast experience in the dental field allows her to oversee and optimise operations at High Dental.
Chloe is always available to help patients in whatever way possible, from postoperative calls to arranging follow-up appointments. She also offers her guidance for patients with their finances so they can receive optimal treatment to improve their dental health. She has helped patients with customised payment plans, early access to their super funds, and has provided financial relief by breaking down treatments into more affordable visits.
Outside of work, Chloe is a mother to two young boys and a digital content creator for high-end fashion goods.
